Happy World Vegetarian Day! 🌱

Today and every year on October 1st, since 1977. It’s also the kick-off day of Vegetarian Awareness Month.

In celebration, I am showing you a music video I put out almost exactly 11 years ago on YouTube (on Oct 7, 2010). This is a song I cowrote with Kay Glynn. The title was inspired by the late, great Punya who also helped to influence a series of other songs we were writing during these times.

“My Innocence Begins Today” was released on “Alex Arndt & The Sonic Universe” “Animal Compassion” EP with other songs such as “They Are Real” featuring @gregcipes . Soon I will be releasing a lot of music that can’t easily be found these days.

Disclaimer: Some of the scenes in the verses can be difficult to watch.. so please just cover your eyes until you get to the chorus’ where there are lots of loving scenes with me and the animals. 💗

This song is about my personal experience watching an undercover slaughterhouse video for the first time 18+ years ago. I sobbed so hard. 😭 I went directly to Trader Joe’s that night and spent hours looking at the labels of every food item to make sure everything was vegan. I never looked back.

Going veg was the single greatest thing I ever experienced in my life. I felt as though my heart chakra had opened wide and suddenly all of the love in The Universe poured in. This feeling of utter bliss continued and is still present with me today.

If anyone is looking for tips on this lifestyle, the internet is full of guides and recipes. And these days, everyone’s supermarket is filled with some delicious alternative options to meat.

The other reason why I decided to release this video today, is that I think California Governor Newsom (and the C D C ) ought to offer up some healthy living tips as opposed to mandating children to being injected. The actions of this administration are deplorable.
