Exactly 8 years ago today on Oct 5, 2013, I performed in Amsterdam at two different venues in the same night. I played at CC Muziek Cafe and also at Mulligan’s! My good friend just sent me this flyer and I found these other pics on Facebook.
I had to coordinate riding the Light Rail from one show to the next that evening. The love from each of the audiences that night was amazing. I still have a lot of those friends in my rolodex. I think that was my first time performing in Amsterdam. Fortunately, I got to come back to perform in subsequent years after that too.
I have always loved performing in the Netherlands and all around in the surrounding European countries. It’s difficult being an internationally touring music artist and not being able to travel with ease at this moment. However, I am making the best of it and will be doing another Mini Midwest USA Tour this week! 😁

In celebration, I am showing you a music video I put out almost exactly 11 years ago on YouTube (on Oct 7, 2010). This is a song I cowrote with Kay Glynn. The title was inspired by the late, great Punya who also helped to influence a series of other songs we were writing during these times.

This song is about my personal experience watching an undercover slaughterhouse video for the first time 18+ years ago. I sobbed so hard. 😭 I went directly to Trader Joe’s that night and spent hours looking at the labels of every food item to make sure everything was vegan. I never looked back.
Going veg was the single greatest thing I ever experienced in my life. I felt as though my heart chakra had opened wide and suddenly all of the love in The Universe poured in. This feeling of utter bliss continued and is still present with me today.
If anyone is looking for tips on this lifestyle, the internet is full of guides and recipes. And these days, everyone’s supermarket is filled with some delicious alternative options to meat.
The other reason why I decided to release this video today, is that I think California Governor Newsom (and the C D C ) ought to offer up some healthy living tips as opposed to mandating children to being injected. The actions of this administration are deplorable.

My tour in the Midwest was a real success. I had forgotten how nice it feels to make good money out on the road and bring it back home to reinvest into my music career (recording gear, video production, etc.)
